MARSHAL McLUHAN is Director of the Center for Culture and Technology at the University of Toronto, and a frequent speaker and panelist both on television and in lecture halls. He studied at Manitoba University and Cambridge University, where he recieved his Ph.D. in English literature. He has taught at universities in the U.S. and Canada, and is the author of two other books, The Mechanical Bride and The Guternbreg Galaxy.
